Rodrigo Ignacio Valenzuela Avilés (born on November 22, 1975, in Santiago, Chile) is a Chilean football player.

He is a midfielder who plays for Universidad Católica. He has spent his entire career in club teams in either Chile or Mexico. He has played for Atlas FC, Club America and CD Veracruz in the Primera Division de Mexico.[1]

He has been playing for the international team since his debut against England on February 11, 1998. He was part of the Chilean squad which participated in the Copa América 2004.
